=====aperim===== אפרימ Ostensibly, 'aperim' is the name of a character in the book of Genesis commonly spelled "Ephraim" and known as the second son of Joseph. The name appears to be based on the root word 'aper' which means "ashes", with the suffix [[im]], yielding a literal translation of "the Ashen Ones". Given the plural form it seems likely that the character was named after a group known as the Ashen Ones but whom do not appear elsewhere within the ancient Hebrew corpus. Although... a pair of references in Psalms((Psalms 60:7, Psalms 108:8)) could be read with this interpretation: //Gilead, Manasseh **the Ashen Ones** my head Judah inscribes// It should also be noted that the "sons of Aperim" were //twenty thousand and eight hundred mighty men of valor men famous throughout house of their father//((1 Chronicles 12:31)), so they don't really have the reputation of a small tribe of sheep herders as one might expect. A fearsome band of warriors might indeed go under the banner of "the Sons of the Ashen Ones" ---- LexID 669
