Although there are issues in ascertaining a consistent meaning for 'repa', it seems that 'repa' is related to "healing", due to it being the root of [[irepa]] ("heal") and [[repaot]] ("medicine")

'repa' is the root word of [[repaim]] and therefore plays an important role in clarifying the difference between [[repaim]] and a hypothetical [[repehim]].

It is also the root word of the name of the character, [[repal]] aka Raphael.

In only one outlying case, 'repa' (LexID 7496) appears to mean "deformed". 1 Chronicles 20:6-8 tells of a man with six fingers and six toes who was born deformed. In this case although the word is spelled 'repa', it seems likely that the intended word was actually [[repeh]]

There is a non-zero possibility that this word is [[cognate]] with "repair".
