The 'toreh' (aka 'torah') is ostensibly "the law" that Moses received from [[Ihoh]] and gave to the [[heyeberi]] people.

Note however that the toreh appears in the narrative prior to the time of Moses, notably in Genesis 26:5 and Job 22:22.((The book of [[Job]] is thought to predate Moses by hundreds of years))
