'tsow' (often pronounced 'saw') means "command".

Much like the word command in English, it seems to function both as giving someone a specific command to follow, or to give them command of an operation, leaving them in charge. This is quite fascinating because the person receiving the command is either:
  * just following orders unquestioningly
  * authorized to give orders and make decisions
In other words, they receiver of command either //has no control// over the situation OR is //in control// of the situation. FIXME further contextual analysis is needed to determine whether both of these opposing meanings really hold true.

The [[Hebrew Spelling Inconsistencies|spelling inconsistencies]] of this word are a good example of why [[diacritics]] can't be trusted to create a consistent pattern of [[vowels|vowel]] sounds.
