=====yexim===== עצימ Based on the root [[yex]], meaning "tree", plus the anthropomorphizing suffix [[im]], 'yexim' literally means "the Tree People". Another o=word for "tree" is [[aleh]], which is the root word for [[alehim]], so it seems that both yexim and [[alehim]] are literally "the tree people" and therefore it seems that [[yexim]] is another name for the Alehim. ((as discussed further under [[alehim#the_tree_people]])) The word appears 71 times throughout the ancient Hebrew texts. The first appearance is in Genesis 22, a story typically understood as "Abraham sacrifices his son". Other stories associate the yexim with the [[arorim]]((Joshua 9:23)) (the Enchanted Ones), the [[amexaim]]((Numbers 15:33)) (the Found Ones) ---- This page is part of a series - see [[im]] backlinks for a dynamic list ---- LexID 96086
