aperim
אפרימ Ostensibly, 'aperim' is the name of a character in the book of Genesis commonly spelled “Ephraim” and known as the second son of Joseph.
The name appears to be based on the root word 'aper' which means “ashes”, with the suffix im, yielding a literal translation of “the Ashen Ones”. Given the plural form it seems likely that the character was named after a group known as the ashen ones but whom do not appear elsewhere within the ancient Hebrew corpus.
