Variously pronounced “eleh/elah/ela”
This may be a feminine form of el or eloh
Traditionally, it has caused translation issues and resulted in the splittin on one word into three disparate meanings (as per Strongs Concordance):
- Strongnumber 411 = These
- Strongnumber 428 = goddess
- Strongnumber 424 = A tree in the Terebinth or Pistachio family.
This is a pretty strange situation considering the exact same spelling of the word. We suggest there is something fundamentally flawed with this approach.
