Based on the root word sen, the literal meaning of 'Senim' is “the Toothy Ones”.

The Senim are mentioned 399 times in the ancient Hebrew texts.

However, the traditional translation of 'senim' is “years”. This is interesting since the closely related word, seneh does appear to mean a time period, possibly a year. If this was the intent, then it seems that 'senim' may be a misspelling of senehim.
