'adeni', (often pronounced Adonai) is typically understood to mean “Lord”, except for the several hundred instances where is supposedly means “socket”. The socket interpretation is itself quite dubious, for two reasons; firstly that there is already a perfectly good word for socket - kep. And secondly that the instances where 'adeni' supposedly means “socket” are all internal refernces to a strange bit of equipment in the Tabernacle that is not adequately described in and of itself, but only in relation to other peices of the equipment. In other words, it is technical jargon.
