This is the famous “Urim” of “Urim and Thummim” fame.

Built on the root word aor, The literal meaning of 'aorim' is “the Light Ones”, essentially meaning “beings of light”. It is unclean whether the aorim are actually living entities or simply objects, but if they are objects they appear to be imbued with some kind of almost magical ability that allows them to assist in decision making, almost like a computer.
