aorim
אורימ
This is the famous “Urim” of “Urim and Thummim” fame.
Built on the root word aor, The literal meaning of 'aorim' is “the Light Ones”, essentially meaning “beings of light”. It is unclear whether the aorim are actually living entities or simply objects, but if they are objects they appear to be imbued with some kind of almost magical ability that allows them to assist in decision making, almost like a computer.
'aorim' is cognate with the latin word “aurum” which means “gold”. This is intriguing, given the fact that the aorim is one of several objects created by Moses' goldsmith Bezalel, along with the kerobim and the Ark of the Covenant.
The context of the aorim is almost always matched up with the “Thummim” (temim) which seems to indicate the purity of the light.
