אתנ

'aten' appears in the ancient Hebrew lexicon in 34 instances where is is typically translated as “donkey” or “female donkey”. This is slightly dubious, due to the existence of the word hemer which also means “donkey”, and due to the fact that it is cognate with a rather important Egyptian word Aten, a conceptualized diving light that was at the center of a highly politicized religious cult in Egypt immediately prior to the exodus of the Yeberi people. It is quite possible some kind of thinly veiled put-down, but the exact implications are difficult to determine.
