'repa' appears to mean “deformed”.

1 Chronicles 20:6 tells of a man with six fingers and six toes who was born deformed.

The word 'repa' (often pronounced 'rapha') is difficult to translate due to its seemingly opposite ostensible meanings.

At times it is translated as “healing”, but sometimes it seems to indicate “death”.

Applying the 'im suffix results in repaim, translated as both “the healers” and “the dead”/“ghosts”, and sometimes “giants”

Further analysis is required.

Several Strongnumbers are implicated: 7495, 7496, 7497, 7498, 7499, 7500, 7501

It is the root word of repaim and therefore its role in clarifying the difference between repaim and repehim
