There are issues in ascertaining a consistent meaning for 'repa'.
In one cases 'repa' (LexID 7496) appears to mean “deformed”. 1 Chronicles 20:6-8 tells of a man with six fingers and six toes who was born deformed. In this case althought the word is spelled 'repa', it seems likely that the intended word was actually repeh
At other times 'repa' is translated as “healing”, due to its similarity with irepa and repaot
In still other instance, it seems to indicate “death”.
In none of these examples is a translation of “giants” warranted contextually.
Applying the 'im suffix results in repaim, translated as both “the healers” and “the dead”/“ghosts” Further analysis is required.
Several Strongnumbers are implicated: 7496 repa (2 instances) deformed,

It is the root word of repaim and therefore its role in clarifying the difference between repaim and repehim
