'xenip' appears to be an object of some kind. Without much evidence, traditional translations render it as a “turban” or headdress of some type.
Although Zechariah 3:5 associates the 'xenip' as being over one's head and does seem to infer that a tailor is involved, the headdress interpretation is negated by Isaiah 62:3 which provides contextual evidence that the object is to be placed in the hand, rather than on the head.
Other instances are less helpful. Job 29:14 could refer to an object or an action. Isaiah 3:23 appears to be a list of a few luxury objects without any descriptions.
