Since the concept of giants is both enduring and complex, supposedly supported by a number of different ancient Hebrew words, this page is meant to act as a landing page to tie those various words together.

• gedol = “big”, gedolim = “the big ones”/“giants”
• repa = “deformed”, so repaim = “the deformed ones”, not (necessarily) giants, but also not explicitly excluding giantism. Most traditional interpretations render the 'repaim' = “the dead”, not giants.
