The 'ihodim' are the people of Ihoh. The very closely related word ihodeh (typically rendered “Judah” or Judea“) appears to refer to the same people in a more nationalistic way that might be more accurately rendered as “the Nation of the People of Ihoh”

This may refer to the heyeberi people in general, or possibly a subset of the heyeberi who actively served Ihoh.

The contextual evidence is clear that the followers of Ihoh are referred to, which raises an etymological/grammatical precedent for letter substitution before the im suffix
