remim
רמימ
the 'remim' are literally “The Lifted Ones”.
Etymological evidence suggests that Abraham quite possibly falls into this category as well, because his original name was 'Ab-rem', “Lifted Father”.
The remim are referred to explicitly only four times. Psalms 78:69 and Isaiah 2:13-14 appear to indicate that the remim had built a marvelous structure in the mountains, but Job 21:22 and 2 Samuel 22:28 seem to speak of a reckoning that eventually came to the remim.
However, 'remim' might be a synonym for the yelim.
Most traditional translations fail to recognize the word 'remim' and instead mistakenly convolute it with herim, merim, and irim. - need to edit codex ids to correct words.
